Gefors skriver för Göteborgsoperan

Hans Gefors har tidigare skrivit operor som Christina för Kungliga operan 1986 samt Vargen kommer 1997 och Skuggspel 2005, båda för Malmöoperan. Nu har han för första gången kontrakterats av Göteborgsoperan och knyts från i år till institutionen som huskompositör med uppgift att leverera en ny svensk opera.

- Hans Gefors är en av Sveriges största operakompositörer någonsin och vi är mycket glada över samarbetet, säger operachef Lise-Lotte Axelsson i ett pressmeddelande.

Librettot till operan, som ska ha urpremiär i Göteborg först 2015, skrivs av dramatikern Kerstin Perski. Duon har tidigare skrivit operan Vargen kommer tillsammans. Perski har också skrivit pjäser som Namn: Spielrein Sabina och Charlotte Löwensköld för Stockholms Stadsteater.

Ett hotell är ett gammalt önskemål från kommunala Älvstranden Utveckling, för att ytterligare sätta fart på tillväxten i Lindholmen Science Park, där ju även storföretaget Ericsson har sin anläggning i Göteborg. Nu tillförs 266 rum i en hotellbyggn...
